Trying to come up with toddler Valentine's ideas.... too little for glue/scissors/beads still.
I was in amsterdam last year, saw a mom strap a baby to her chest,, put a toddler in a front seat and groceries in the back baskets of a bike and take off. And it was drizzle rain. I felt like such a wussie after that. AND if you have ever tried to ride bikes in amsterdam it is very difficult, trust me! The traffic is crazy and tou must ride next to al the cars and trains.
Honestly, can any of us say that we treasure the crap we made when we were toddlers? Come on, it's just a pile of crap! I may keep, say, one thing for DD, but I sure as heck don't care about anything I made, and I'm sure she won't either.
I had an abortion (at PP btw) a couple of years after our 1st born, 10 years later we were finally ready for a 2nd child. 1st child was what you would call a very easy baby and toddler, 2nd child is the biggest handful EVER, from birth till now (she's 2).
I secretly believe she is the same baby(spirit?) we aborted and is now giving me payback for having her wait 10 years to join us.
Yes I have kids and remember what's needs to be done when they are toddlers. Just because mine are a little older than yours doesn't mean I forgot how to have common sense. Relax and STFU because if anyone is going to get hurt here it's you.
i feel like i cant candle these 2 toddlers anymore!!!
I have bathed my 4 month old a total of 4 times in her life. And my toddler... maybe once a week. I suck. (PS I shower about 5 times a week.)
My in-laws bought our toddler a four foot high plastic kitchen set that has a million little pieces. I have asked them repeatedly not to buy anything large because our place is tiny and we don't have a lot of storage space, but they bought it anyway. In addition to being big and bulky, it also seems to be poorly made - it's only been a couple of days and our toddler had already broken the oven door. I don't want a house that's filled up with ugly plastic kindercrap.
I always loved reading and wanted to instill a love of reading in my children. So far, my six year old loves to read and keeps a book in the van to read when we drive, reads to his younger siblings, and writes short books (4-6 pages, 2-3 sentences on each page with an illustration); my four year old is trying to learn to read and ask me to read to him ALL the time, it's the only time he'll sit still; my toddler (almost two) will bring me books all day long and cuddle with me while I read them to her. I absolutely love it. Who needs TV when you have books and an imagination?
I have this ability to feel things that are going to happen in the future. DH's friend's wife had a miscarriage a while ago. I prayed and thought about it a lot an this vision of a beautiful little toddler girl with curls came to me. I could see her vividly. He tells me last night they are pregnant and having a girl. It's so wierd. Not strong enough to call myself psychic but definitely something going on there.
