My teen said that what he did was his own business and wouldn't hurt anyone else. He didn't want to do chores, etc. OK, I stopped doing his laundry, stopped cooking meals, stopped driving him places. I went on strike. Pretty soon he was upset because he missed an event he was looking forward to. He expected I'd drive him but @ the last minute, I decided to do something else because I selfishly wanted to do it. He didn't study hard for a test because he had to wash sev wks worth of dirt clothes. I told him that my bad decisions affected him, right? He agreed. No more of that sh*t.

I'm not a real Glee wathcer at all, but it was on tonight and I caught the exchange between NeNe Leakes' character and Coach Sylvester about her wanting to have a baby and I cracked up! Wow! That was some funny shit. She told her she was so old that if she had a baby she would give birth to a teenager that would come out talking on a cell phone!Funny stuff.

Need advice, respond please: As a parent of a teenager with Asperger's Syndrome (aka high-functioning autism) I am in the difficult position that my child doesn't want other kids to know and thinks that it will make her social situation even more ackward with people treating her like she's stupid rather than the intelligent girl she it. I understand, BUT, I also see it that people don't want to be around her because they don't understand her. As a parent of a 'regular kid' would you want to know that your child is around a kid on the spectrum? Would you tell your child's secret????

I was a cop in NYC years ago when a dead baby was found in a courtyard of an apt. building. We learned it was a local black teen, who, got up from watching tv with her mom, went to the bathroom, gave birth, threw baby out the window and went back to tv. Mom knew nothing. SAME DAY, suburban white teen goes to prom, gives birth in the bathroom, shoves it behind toilet and goes back to partying. Which one do you think made headlines? Which do you think was never even mentioned in the paper? Yes, people want entertainment, but it's gotta be the RIGHT (white) entertainment.

teens are so disrespectful nowadays (but of course every older generation says that). yesterday i was walking on the sidewalk while a gym class was doing their run. 3 girls running beside each other came at me. i stopped, practically fell on the busy road, and was still bumped into by one of them b/c they didn't have the decency to go behind each other and make room for me. thinking of going to the principal so he can have a talk with all students about manners and respect. i'm not much older and NEVER did something like that when i was a teen.
