I posted over the summer, when my daughter was a newborn, that I thought having a baby ruined our marriage. (Not that I was blaming the baby by any means). Things have gotten a lot better. She'll be 9 months old at the end of the month and things are much, much better.
We are getting about $14,000 back in taxes. We have to pay about $5,000 off on a credit card, save some for summer property tax and put the rest in savings. Just once I'd love to be irresponsible and just blow it on a vacation or shopping. Everyone else does it!!! But we won't. Booooo!
SOME elementary school teachers became teachers because they love kids. And SOME high school teachers became teachers because they love their subject matter. (Or they wanted to coach.) But for most of us...let's be honest! It was because of summer!
My car is nearing antiquity. Soon, I wont be able to find parts for it. But I love having an old car that runs like a charm, no car payments, I can do with it what I want and it can't make it look bad and that no one would want to steal.last summer I took some cans of spray paint and re-painted the entire car. it looked great. try that with a new car.
DSS lives with his mom & sees us every other weekend. He has been acting out a lot lately. My SS needs to start acting right but i'm having a hard time feeling sorry for bio mom. Dh wanted to keep him for the whole summer to work on his behavior...bio mom decided to keep him away from us the whole summer. SS won't take his ADHD medicine on his own but bio mom won't make sure he takes it and she won't sign papers so the school nurse can give it to him.
Giftedness is not about a child being brilliant across the board. A child can be called gifted for being extremely talented in one area, such as math, visual arts, music, writing, etc... There are very few people who excel in all areas. A child who can do college math at 8 years old may not be able to communicate well verbally or write a creative story about what he/she did last summer. That does not take away from that child's mathematical giftedness.
Having the numbers go down on the Scale not only gives me a reason be excited to get up in the morning to see new results, but it gives me incredible discipline to continue doing the right things to get what I want, a lower number. Each lower number is a teeny tiny celebration for me because I know that lots of lower numbers will add up to something wonderful. This will be the year I don't dread spring and summer.
No I will not allow my 16 yo daughter to go to Florida with your family this summer(her boyfriends). Why? Because I am her mother and you are an idiot to even think of inviting her before discussing it with me. THEY ARE 16 YOU MORON
When I gave birth last summer in the hospital it was 2 weeks before the due date and my doctor wasn't there and this was my first baby. I was in labor for 16 hours and the doctor was trying to push a c-section just to speed things along. I got pissed off, got out of the sirups and the bed, squatted despite the doctor yelling at me that he couldn't help me if I was like that. DH squatted down with me while nurses piled sheets underneath me and helped my husband and me deliver the baby. Thanks to the nurses and DH I gave birth 8 minutes later, the doctor left the room once i started pushing
I've been following the Republican debates since last summer (I'm a moderate). And I think the Republican candidates come off as the most self-righteous, bigoted, hateful, hypocritical rich white men that I've ever seen. Especially after the debates in SC on Thursday. I don't trust any of them. People like that scare me.
