My 4 year old son was peeing on the floor at me when he was angry at me, because I told him he can't have/do something. I have tried everything-time outs, taking stuff away, etc.He did it one morning because I would not let him have a chocolate cupcake for breakfast. He got his first spanking. He SCREAMED for about 2 minutes,then peed on the floor again and got his second spanking.Screamed for a minute, then spat at me.Third spanking. Problem solved for about a month now. He did it for a month and a half, enough was enough.

After reading all the spanking confessions on here, I fell asleep and dreamt that I slapped DD right in her mouth for something silly she was doing. I have never laid a hand on her. I was distraught in my dream, and I was really shaken up when I first woke up because I couldn't decipher if it really happened or not.

How about you grow up and stop judging other parents methods of discipline? Spanking is fine, and necessary for some children. No one's going to stop doing it just because you verbally chastised them.

I was thinking about the spanking debate the other day and I imagined striking my precious DD. It horrified me. I'm so glad that I don't need to consider spanking as even a 'last resort' way to discipline.

I am a parent. I discipline my children as I see fit. Sometimes, that includes spanking. As I see it, as long as I am not abusing my children it is absolutely no one else's business.

There is no excuse for striking a child ever. Whether you call it spanking, beating or popping makes no difference. Unless you allow your children to hit others when they don't get their way, you shouldn't hit them when you don't get YOUR way. Grow up.

I believe in spanking, in some situations. I don't do it in public though, so when I hear people make comments that a kid needs a good spanking because they're having a tantrum in public, I want to tell them why many parents who may spank won't do it in public. It's because we don't know what kind of nut will call it abuse and call the police. For all the judgement you see here, it's just a tiny reflection of what is out there, and it's scary.

I would never confess this anywhere else: But I cannot stand bf dd. I want to blister her butt by spanking her in the worse way. She's a really REALLY naughty child. I look forward to her going back to her mothers in the worst and best way (please don't flame, I'm venting because I'm really angry right now).

I have been seeing a lot of "pro-spanking" articles lately and it has me contemplating. I am a mother of three. When my oldest was born, I felt pressure to do things according to the mother influences around me instead of trusting my instincts. One of the influences was to spank or hit my child. Time went on and I made my own choices more. Looking back, my least spanked child (not one spanking) is my most well mannered and successful.

I'm always passing judgement on things I see or hear but I keep it to myself. Giving your 1 year old candy, letting your infant cry it out, or spanking your 4 year old - I'll definitely think negative things about you. That said, I keep it to myself because it's none of my business. As long as you aren't abusing your kids, raise 'em how you see fit.
