My dd doesn't ride a school bus, she is a "walker" and has not yet been exposed to the shenanigans that happen on a bus.

I had an abortion. It didn't take a lot of thought or scrutiny. I was 16. My life as I knew it would have been over. I was in private school and would have been thrown out. My BF (whom I later married and had 3 kids) would have been thrown out of school as well. It was the only choice, really.

Please for the sake of everyone try to find a special needs school or a public school with special needs classes and teachers for your child with autism. Mainstreaming is not always a good idea, I can not teach my 24 other students when yours is disrupting the whole class for hours because someone said something he didn't like. Oh and thanks for the fit you threw when we removed him from the class for the second half of the day.

In this day and age there needs to be more scrutiny of teachers and teachers aides before they are allowed to be around our children. A teacher around here was arrested for having over 1000 digital photos of child porn of the kids IN THE CLASSROOM. Extremely graphic photos at that. Parents said he was never without a camera. This alone would set off alarms for me. After that other school was shut down because of those other 2 teachers molesting children and feeding them semen, I think it's time. It's like a pedophiles DREAM job. And this guy was doing this for seven years!

just got back from the dentist. 2 cavities filled (easy) and only 1 of the 2 wisdom tooth extractions done. it was so hard to get out, over an hour, and she had to split my tooth into pieces to get it all out. next time i'm gonna get knocked out for it. in so much pain now. i wish i had somebody to take care of me. and to go pick up my pain killer prescriptions for me. and to pick up my kid from school for me.

Omg maybe I should go to cosmetology school! I had no idea there was so much $ potential in that field!

The case in Loudoun County, VA is outrageous! Take those slackers to court! What if everyone had such complete disrespect for others as they do? Tardy to school 3 kids - 30 times this school year! They live 2 miles from the school! It was something like 125x last year! What makes them think that's okay?

My little brother's school sucks. He is very very smart and bored silly I class. Bu they refuse to test him for advancement or gifted services because they think it's pointless before grade 4. It's not pointless! His teacher won't even give him extra work to do during downtime (he has a ton b/c he finished while she's still explaining the concept) and won't let him bring worksheets from home. He gets in trouble A LOT because he goofs off to pass the time. When he goofs off they call my mom and say he can't be at school anymore that day.

All my kids will be in school full time next year. I have no intention of going back to work. I will enjoy being a housewife and my husband is 100% supportive of this. I'm so sick of the snarky comments I get when people ask me about it. It's our choice, it doesn't effect you.

I never had a lot of clothes when I was growing up. Not that we didn't have the money, I guess my parents thought that because I had uniforms for school and sports that I didn't need a lot. I had maybe 5 outfits at a time in HS. So I overcompensate for DS10. I just counted. 21 pants, 62 shirts, 10 pairs of shoes, 9 hoodies and 5 jackets. I love buying for him. I'm glad I didn't have a girl. It would probably be double that.
