shareI hate the posts that my stay at home mom friends post on Facebook that go something like "I'm a nurse, an accountant, a chef, a police officer, a teacher, a rocket scientist, etc because I'm a stay at home mom" I confess that I want to comment "Wow I do all that AND have a full time job" but I don't because that would be petty. But one day I would just LOVE to do that.
My kid is the one who pushes other kids ont he playground. After the third time of punishing her and she still foes it i told her no more playground. Damn I miss my playground mom friends.
One of my closest mom friends is frankly a slob. She is also kind and considerate and a great friend. I'd choose her company and her messy house anyday over a mom with a clean house but who is mean and judgemental of other moms and insults their homes.
Just saw the cutest thing on a friend's FB. His single mom friend is having a hard time making ends meet this year and couldn't afford a Christmas tree. So she took all of her ornaments, and tacked them to the wall in the shape of a tree! It's just beautiful - I wish I could share the picture with you guys.
Dear Mom Friend: you are so annoying. Making up statistics to prove your point is a stupid move, because I can easily check with a reputable source, like say, the FBI. According to them, 10 times as many people are murdered with guns as blunt objects. So, yeah, now you look silly, don't you?
Me thinks the single mom friendly woman on the block has gotten a wee bit too close to the hubby of the plain vanilla SAHM. It's like watching a soap opera, people...everyone has a key to everyone's house..constant meals and get togethers...no boundaries =someones gonna cheat.
I made a mom friend this week! I'm happier about this than I've been about anything in a long time. Our toddlers are the same age and play together really well. The mom is smart, well-informed, and cares about a lot of the same stuff as I do. She seems like a great mom but she also has a personality and interests outside of her son, which is hard to find in a SAHM.
