I'm a single mom, for good reasons. Mother's Day is nice, and kiddo made me a very sweet card. But if I didn't do the dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, housework, and cat litter today, I was just gonna have to do it tomorrow. Just another day here.

So I had a surgery and now I'm home for a month to recuperate. I have never been so bored in my whole life. Granted it is nice to be home when the kids get home from school, but other than that THIS SUCKS. Television, internet, housework (I can do some) and chatting with my neighbor. I can't do this any longer!

I've noticed that people who have dogs instead of kids tend to take better care of them. And they also compain a lot less. Especially about money, housework, and vacations.

I almost feel bad saying this...almost. I don't feel ANY pity for people who complain about having more than one child. Did you REALLY think it would be easy? Did you REALLY think you'd be able to balance work, housework, kids, etc.? Kids are 99% preventable. I have ONE. He was an accident, so I'm well aware that it happens. But when you've got 3 & 4 kids, I don't feel bad for you. I've got ONE, and I don't have the $$ or patience for another. Be preventative, or don't complain.

One time my male friend and I were discussing how statistically women do more housework in a marriage, even if the wife works. He said "Women and men are different Tara, obviously women do more housework because they are natually cleaner." Really? Is that it? Huh news to me.

I wish someone else would do the dishes other than me. It feels like I am the only one around here who does all the housework.

I do about as much housework as dh. It's very little to be honest. Our house is messy and we are both ok with that. We both work hard, and I refuse to clean more than him. At first I kept the house clean and I would ask him to do the same. After feeling like a nag, I gave up and said fuck it. the house can be messy. Neither of us care.

I am so anxious in a bad way, an aweful way. My house is a wreck! I'm 52lbs overweight. I can't get any support with either. If I ask for help with housework, I'm told I don't do as much as he does. As far as weight loss support, I'm told I'm not doing the right exercises, I 'm not eating the right food etc. I'm about to snap. AAGGHH.!!!!!!!!!! I just wanna scream.

I cook dh does the dishes. I think I got the better end of the deal. He's also not picky at all, loves everything, always finishes his plate, and thanks me. He also cleans the bathroom, the bedroom, and is in charge of the vacuuming and laundry. I would say we are pretty 50/50. (we both work.) I clean the rest of the kitchen, the dusting, the grocery shopping, mowing the lawn and washing the floors. Dh has never claimed to help me. He just says he's doing housework. In parenting it's 50/50 too. This works for us and I feel bad for women who have lazy husbands

I live mostly in a fantasy world because I don't like living in the real one. I have a job and a home but all my idle moments and those where I'm doing stuff I don't have to think about (like housework) are taken up by fantasy. I know the difference between that and reality but I'm sure it cant be healthy to live this way, but life has taught me that the real world, by and large, sucks.
