Confessions for Showing 1 - 10 of 2056
It it really necessary to get upset? and get complain because your kid ate ''breakfast? food'' for lunch? Are you really about to start a bunch of confusion over something so petty? Just because ''Its not lunch food''? We sometimes eat breakfast for dinner(pancakes, french toast, eggs ect). My daughter has managed to live for five whole years. I mean really take the stick out of your butt already.
I don't get why his family thinks I'm some big gold digger, just with him for his money, we spent our first 8 years together barely getting by, had to use the food bank, get help from the gov even for awhile but now that he makes good money, I'm just here for that.
I"m so sick of people ASSuming that pro-lifers do nothing more than protest and judge. I worked in a crisis pregnancy center. We never picketed or protested anywhere. We gave out maternity and baby clothes and food to pregnant women. We had "shepherding" homes for girls who were thrown out by their parents. We had a lawyer who'd represent them if they needed legal help. We had doctors who'd help with prenatal care. We had resources out the wazoo for whatever needs they had. So, yeah, we put our resources where our mouths were and used our time HELPING women in crisis pregnancies.
Look I don't care if you think ''it's a shame'' that I paid to get a button sewn back on a coat because ''all women should know how to sew'' because ''All mothers should pass that skill on''. My mother was a single person working two jobs she didn't have time to teach me how to sew. She was too tired sometimes to even keep her eyes open, let alone to teach me how to sew. She had to keep food on the table and clothes on my back. I'm way more appreciative for that then whether not I could sew. My 12 yr old daughter has no interest in sewing. We love to knit together for fun though.
Americans have no idea what poor is. Poor in America have health services, poor in America have places to sleep. Poor in America have food, clean water, clean streets and clothing. If you have these things, you are not "poor".
DH and I are vegetarians. Our children have grown up eating meat free foods, but they've tried meat.DD6 in particular does not like the flavor. When she was invited to a sleepover and the host announced a meat filled menu,I asked if it would be ok to send DD with her own meals. The host started ranting about picky, spoiled kids and their permissive parents. She ended the call saying that I could do what I want but in her home there are rules about eating what is served.Ok...I guess that means DD will host her own sleepover and people will be free to eat what they bring or we serve.I'm stunned.
In four days, my best friend of 25 years is taking me on a girls-only trip to Disneyland for four days! She is paying for everything except my food and souvenirs...well, she doesn't know it yet, but I'm definitely planning on taking her out to dinner while we're there. I'm so excited! And I don't even feel guilty that my kids aren't going!
Why do so many women these days act like they are first to ever be pregnant or raise children? Women were doing this 100s of years ago crossing the ocean on rickety ships or traveling in covered wagons through Indian territory with little food and horrendous weather - and probably a lot less bitching than the "exhausted" gaggle of moms taking up all the tables at Starbucks.
