I don't usually have chips in the house but for DD2's birthday we put some in a bowl. DD saw it and wanted some so I put some in a plate for her. MIL was freaking out because I let DD eat a few chips!

Because of stupid family drama, my kids got uninvited to a birthday party. If “youre sorry the kids have to suffer", why the hell are you involving them? Sooooooo mad..

two months away and I am already stressing out about baby's 1st birthday. I don't want a ton of gifts but money would be nice to open him an account. Just don't know how to ask without sounding tacky.

lootbags=landfill I wish parents would be more responsible when it comes to putting together lootbags for their kid's birthday parties.

Ugh, really SS? You think we are going to get you a $1,000 gift for your birthday? Worse, you think you deserve it as you struggle not to flunk half your classes because of laziness? The thinking processes of selfish teenagers never fail to amuse!

I have a list of family and friend's birthdays so I never forget anybody's special day. I walk or bike as much as I can because it is healthier for me and better for nature. I don't have a TV, but I do read on a regular basis. I work full time, have a degree, and a DD2. I also wear makeup and heels!

My daughter's friend's mom is awesome! I got sick at our daughter's game this morning and she took my DD and DS all day. They went shopping, out to lunch, and are now at a birthday party. I miss my kids, since I haven't seen them in the last 8 hours, but I really needed to rest.

i went on a date with this guy whose birthday had just passed. he had a huge blowout. i said i've never had a bday party (as an adult). he said why would you wait for someone to plan one? go out and plan a huge party yourself. do whatever you want. don't wait around for a surprise party and then be disappointed when your friends forget your bday.

After 15 + years of blowing off my birthday, and acting like it was just another day, I decided that I was going to change all that nonsense. I am celebrating my birthday from here on out! Today is my b-day, but I am celebrating tomorrow with my loved ones. Happy Birthday to Me! :)

Everyone has been very supportive, helping me cope with my friend's suicide - EXCEPT MY OWN FAMILY. They believe that those who commit suicide are weak and they have no respect for them. I used to feel that way, too, as I have been through the ringer more than a few times and I pulled through. But my friend wasn't depressed. He had PTSD from being fucking SHOT AT in the war! He couldn't take it anymore! Seriously, I just got yelled at for 20 minutes for forgetting to call my cousin for her birthday. Yes I am her Godmother, but FFS, let me grieve!!!
