I can't believe there are still people in this world who believe birth control is wrong. If God wanted to control how many children we had we'd only be given a certain number of eggs and sperm, not hundreds of one and millions of the other. It's a crapshoot if you get pregnant. Birth control helps you control it.

The 'purpose' of sex is what you make of it. That's why birth control was created to further reinforce that idea. So women can finally control their fertility, So women can actually consent to sex but not particularly to pregnancy.

I'll put my DD on birth control when I think the time is right. Probably, for her, age 15 or 16. I wish there was some medication I could give my son to prevent him from getting a girl pregnant. I want my kids in control of this stuff as they get older.

While I don't want my daughter to have sex when she's a teenager, I'll probably put her on birth control. Some people think that's giving permission to have sex, but have you seen the teen sex rates, it hardly seems like they're looking for permission.

I got the Paraguard IUD today. Still feeling crampy and uncomfortable, but I'm so glad it's finally in and now I don't have to worry about remembering to take a pill the same time every day or using back up methods since hormonal birth control wouldn't be as effective for me as it is for most since I have to take medication that interferes with it. I doubt too many people would care but I had to share with someone how relieved I am to have found a solution to my issues with hormonal birth control. :)

My older DS was an accident. I was on birth control and I truly don't remember missing a pill or having to double up. His biological father resented me and blamed me for ruining his life, despite the fact that I asked him for literally nothing. Not once. After this, I will never be in another relationship where birth control is my sole responsibility. I felt so guilty, for so long. My FH and I are truly partners, and we are in protecting ourselves from pregnancy until we are ready too. Neither partner should have to bear that responsibility alone. Male or female.

Nobody vilifies men for their lack of birth control options. It's the fact that some of them refuse to employ the options already available to them is what bothers me. If theyre not willing to wrap it up to protect against std's and unwanted pregnancies, what makes you think they'll jump to use another form of bc? As far as they're concerned it's the womans responsibility and she gets blamed if her bc fails.

I keep having fluttering in my lower abdomen. It feels like the early baby movement of my previous pregnancies. If I am pregnant it will be a multiple birth control fail so unlikely. It drives me crazy though. Why does it feel like I have a phantom baby in me.

Why is birth control usually the concern of the woman? Because there are exactly TWO methods for men...vasectomies and condoms (unless you want to count the useless POS that is the withdrawal method but I would imagine we're more sensible than that). How about we start seeing some more options for men, rather than villifying them for their lack of choices?

My birth control caused so many health problems and I know a lot of people use it, my cousin also had to get off it because it was making her have problems too. I tried a different one and at first it was fine but than I kept getting shakes and when I went off totally fine. But my doctor told me it wasn't my birth control but I didn't believe him because he said I shouldn't go off it but I did and now I'm healthy again. I now use other types of contraceptions.
