I hate living in Japan. It stinks and the food sucks. My hubby will be leaving for 6 months, I don't work or have children, and I am miserable. the military doesn't care about family

There was a wife on a Fb group for our base complaining about how it wasnt fair that they couldnt get food stamps, the need them! How unfair it is that they count BAH and BAS toward how much they make. It isnt taxed, it shouldnt count. ITs her, her husband, and her infant. Her husband is E-5 (same as mine) which means he makes over 3,000/mth and she claims she breastfeeds. They live down the st from us so their apartment is about 400less than BAH. It was all I could do to keep my mouth shut. She is the kind of lazy self-entitled brat that makes the rest of us SAHM's look bad.

I hate hearing wives complain about being fat. I don't know about other places but our post has 11 FREE gyms and 6 of them have FREE child care. Not to mention the commissary has awesome healthy food choices that are pretty cheap. You don't always have to eat frozen pizzas and Taco Bell, you can make a real meal.

I work in a place that accepts food stamps. It is not my place to say what one should or should not waste food stamps on, and I don't, other than follow "general" guidelines. But the amount of candy and soda I sell to folks using food stamp cards is crazy! I believe in ones right to eat like a slob if they like, but if someone else is footing the bill, and probably a bit of your medical too, you should have to abide by some strict rules right? Either that or... get a job and pay for your own crap food and resulting medical bills!

We are stationed in a very small town. I have been looking for a job for the last almost year. I have gotten two interviews and sent in over 150 apps easy. The two interviews I had didnt go well once I told them I had kids. I dont mind working fast food or anything else, as long as it pays enough to cover the cost of childcare, gas, and still bring home some money. I would pretty much be willing to do anything at this point. I just want to work outside the home. I dont even mind babysitting but everyone wants a sitter without their own kids.

God you are a fat-ass what is wrong with you? I cook and cook and spend $150 a week on food and you require four 3 to 4 course meals every DAY and if they aren't ready the second you demand them you run to the fast food drive thru. THEN you complain about being fat. I could have made you several things at home but you use any excuse to indulge in your fast food addictions. And the portions you get are god awful. 2 value meals, TWO? At the largest size they have...Your lack of self-control disgusts me.

I never considered myself a military girlfriend. When dating DH, I didn't know there was a "military culture" and you became something other than a girlfriend. Probably because his job at that time was no deployments, and usual banker-type hours. I dunno it just never occured to me. I didn't look up military info, ever, or think any different of it than if he was a fast food worker or a professor or an office dude.

So Valentines day is almost here. It's sad how crazy or angry people get. My husband and I don't celebrate it cuz we don't feel we need a day to remind us to tell the person we love them or buy gifts. We decide to say I love you or buy gifts just because. Why pay extra on flowers, candy and food. People need to google v day and see why it came. I think it's cute for children but come on society. Why do people get mad cuz there spouse got them shit. Make your own rules

I knew this couple at our last duty station who were always broke a day or two after payday. After hanging around with them more I noticed they would usually buy themselves clothes on payday (expensive brands) and then have no money left for food for their kids (they had 3 under 5). One time they actually asked to borrow 10$ just to feed their kids dinner that night. Oh they also have 2 English bulldogs that they spent an entire tax return on each one to purchase... I wish people were smarter with their money

I love my husband and what we have. But there are times where I am just tired and will buy food instead of cooking. Today I came home after work and just laid it bed. I have to say it felt so good! Yes we are strong but we need to give ourselfs more relax days without feeling bad. Amen
