I'm a "hot mom". But not in a Desperate Housewives way. I've got a fit figure, hips, and large natural breasts. But I'm pale as a ghost, I have multiple piercings and tattoos on my back. My hair is currently choppy and bright purple. DH and guys in the scene think I'm sexy as hell and everyone else thinks I'm strange. It's hilarious!

I'm attractive, and so is DH. Our oldest biological son is half-Chinese, one quarter Irish, and one quarter Brazilian. He has tan skin, bright blue almond-shaped eyes, and auburn hair. He's only 13, but we know once puberty is in full swing he'll be quite the center of attention. Is it wrong to be proud of this?

I cannot wait until January when my doctor says I can go back to work. I had my spine fused and several places and replacement silicone discs put in several months ago. (I got a hereditary condition that caused multiple disks in my back to degenerate to the point where bone was rubbing against bone.) I'd rather be in the office with my patients again. I miss them! Also the sooner I am off these meds, the better.

When I let my daughter wear clip on colored streaks in her hair and a temporary water tattoo on her arm someone asked us if we were sisters! I'm nearing forty and she's only eleven. It was oddly flattering!

When I went to pick up Ginny from school I saw a bunch of older kids picking on her because she is Autistic. She shakes, shrieks, and flaps her hands when she's excited. ?Before I could do anything, two of my other kids who also go that school told off the bullies rather eloquently. My elder daughter gave her the rest of her snack to help her stop crying. They didn't know I saw it and thought I arrived minutes later. Knowing I have such compassionate hearts in my home takes some weight off my back.

Rein's such a good kid. He blows my mind sometimes. Today when he got back from school I let him play Metal Gear Solid 2 until Ginny and Sig got home and so long as Ana and Byron could watch. He did so without argument and when they came home he got out the dance mats and let them play Dance Dance Revolution with him until dinner time. I cannot praise him enough for being such a good big brother these days.

As fun as being a SAHM was these last several months, I cannot wait until my medical leave is done with this coming January. DH may make enough to support us on his own, but I want to take the burden off him. He spends so much time at work now and I feel bad that he has to get there at 5AM and work twelve hours. He needs time with his family too. (DH is a neurologist and I'm a GP.) It cuts into our couple time a lot too. Hurry up and heal, you silly spinal cord! :(

I grew up as a twin with two older sisters and a younger brother. DH was one of three. Unlike a lot of people, we both really wanted a big family of our own too. While I doubt we'll go past five, I do not regret it for a moment. Every day is an adventure. There's always something new going on. This turkey day I'm so thankful that we can afford to have our family thrive and prosper in these rough times and still have enough to give to the Austism funds that help us take care of Ginny. (She's low-functioning and in Special Needs.) I love them all so much.

Weeks ago, I slipped on the wood floor and fell down the stairs. The fall messed up some of the surgery done to my back at the beginning of fall and I'd been stuck in bed for a while. (Only recently could I get up to go farther than the bathroom.) My mother's here to help take care of the kids, but I hate feeling so useless. The world's been passing me by. I want to be out with my family again! :-(

Last year I forgot to take out my Medusa piercing, and this old woman looked at me all aghast. She screamed "Help! Doctor! I think I'm hallucinating!". It took myself and two coworkers to convince her that yes, I'm a fully licensed MD and not some demon out of hell. It was more funny than offensive. She's now a regular patient!

I've no interest in animals but I bought myself a dragon dildo just to see what it feels like.
