DD literally has 8 swimsuits (one brand new she got for Easter and the other brand new she got at the end of summer last year and the rest are hand-me downs or left over from last year. Not a single one fits her....they're all TOO BIG! They all fit last year. She's lost 11 pounds since November and now all her clothes (mostly hand-me-downs) are too big too! Looks like I'm going to have to do some summer clothes shopping pretty quick!

1st softball game of the season tonight. Wish us luck!

SD's mom moved her 2,000 miles away in August. She's supposed to send her to visit every other month, Xmas break, spring break, 8 weeks in summer (her idea). We've seen her for 1 1/2 days on New Year's. DH asked when she'd be here for the 8 week summer visit. She said maybe 2-3 weeks, not 8 because DH only has 2 weeks vacation from work and "the court papers say she's the first choice for "babysitter" when he has to work". Really bitch. You just quoted the papers you're in contempt of. I guess it'll be a rude awakening when DH shows up at her door with law enforcement to pick up his dd.

My sister just signed the lease on a house less than 2 miles from me! My brother lives right next door and my aunt/uncle live half a mile from me! Woohooo, I love being so close to my family!

Apparently pointing out that dh's mom and my mom are pretty much out as far as babysitting dd goes because they are both substance abusers (mine takes pills, his drinks) wasn't exactly something dh liked hearing. According to him his mom shouldn't be put in the same category as mine because his mom is a "functional alcoholic" and his parents are wealthy. According to me, impaired is impaired.

Dear hubby: you sit on your ASS all day and drive a truck then come home and cook dinner! I sit on my ASS all day at a desk then pick up the kid, take her out to play, come home, clean house, do laundry, play with our kid more, clean up dinner, then go to bed at 10 if I'm lucky. THEN I spend 90 % of the night up with kid who hasn't slept in two years...maybe getting four hours of sleep through the night off and on while you're snoring your ass off! WHY do you insist that I don't do anything to be as tired as I am and that I don't work as hard as you do???
