DD's eardrum ruptured this weekend and we spent Sunday in the ER, only to have the dr. give us another round of cipro drops (third round since April) and tell me to call her ENT first thing today (I did). Massive infection. I know how bad an ear ache hurts and I just feel awful that there's nothing I can do to make it stop hurting! Hopefully the ENT will do something useful tomorrow (especially since I have to drive over an hour to his second office since his main office in my town can't get her in until NEXT Friday). Poor baby! :(

Well, took dd to the ENT yesterday. Apparently her body had started to reject the tube in that ear and was attacking it, causing a massive infection in her hear and head which in turn caused her eardrum to rupture. So she had surgery this morning to remove the tube and as much of the infection as they could! She came through it like a champ and is pretty much back to her old self again...AND she says her ear feels MUCH better! Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't have to have tubes again!

We were watching the new Alice in Wonderland last night and when Alice shrunk, her clothes didn't and all you saw for a minute was a giant pile of clothes. DD said "her clothes stayed big, is she gonna be naked now"? Then DH asked me "who is that girl" (meaning who is the actress who plays Alice) and I said I didn't know. DD knew though..."Dad! That's Alice, keep up"! LMAO, that child is so damn funny sometimes!

I put my baby on a bus, all by herself to go to kindergarten summer school this morning! Sniff, sniff. She was excited and ready to go, which made it a LOT easier on me. And I'm excited for her too...the hard part was just sending her on her way by herself, and not taking her and holding her little hand all the way! 2 1/2 hours in and I haven't gotten a call from the school yet so I'd say she must be doing pretty good!

First day of summer school went great, dd loved it and did well! Only problem....she got on the wrong bus after school and therefore got off at the wrong stop! OMG, this mommy went into FULL ON PANIC MODE! Luckily she got off at the local Catholic school where they do after school care for their kids and they called her school and her teacher picked her up and brought her home! You better believe I was making some phone calls yesterday afternoon! Apparently she was in the right line for her bus but then went to another line to talk to some friends she made and ended up getting on their bus!

I really thought I'd be glad to have DH out of the house when he took on two overnight routes at work and then a second job on his days off. I think I may have been wrong...Been bored out of my mind these past couple of weeks when he's gone!

Every time I glance at Wolfmans avatar I swear at first it looks like an ultrasound! Messes with my head bigger than shit!

My dh takes so much shit from me and my sis...he's a hell of a man for putting up with us and hanging in there! The other night he was standing in front of my sis (she was sitting on the couch) showing her something and I de-pansed him (didn't know he was commando). Sis saw EVERYTHING. He was like, "Damn, she saw my schlong...now she's gonna be all over me". Without missing a beat and with a straight face sis says..."I think that's considered more of a shlort". Had me in tears laughing so hard!

I don't get to actually sit and watch tv very often. Maybe an hour a week if I'm lucky! So when I do get to sit and veg DH gives me the remote and absolute power over the tv!

DH and I don't exchange gifts on Christmas. We wait until he gets his bonus from work at the begining in January and we spend that on ourselves (usually something for the house or an evening out).
