My 1yo (same one who tipped me a dime yesterday) got a hold of my foundation. I know he likes to play with my makeup and I thought that it would be okay for him to play with. That is, until he came up to me with a ring of foundation around his mouth and had it all over his face and shirt. He figured out how to take the special little locking cap off and use the pump and was "applying" it to his face. I laughed and gagged at the same time.

I confess that I have absolutely no idea what I weigh. I have never owned a scale. The only time in my adult life that I have known what I weigh was when I was pregnant and that made me remember why I don't own a scale. Too much emphasis is placed upon what we weigh and not on being fit. I would rather be fit and size 12 than unfit and a skinny single digit size. I want to be around for my grandkids.

I rub my 1yo down with a salve in a tin that I make. I also let him practice taking the lid off of a candle in a tin. (it's never been lit.) Sweet baby comes up and starts rubbing my skin and 'dipping' his fingers in the candle tin, rubbing my arms and face, inspecting my skin and delivering kisses where he thinks I need them. I sure do love this little guy.

It's almost back to school time...are you ready?
Yes! I can't wait for summer to end and school to begin!
Not yet -- in denial that the lazy days of summer are over.
No way! I could spend 9 more months with my kids at home!
