Doing pretty well so far today! Oatmeal for breakfast, a small roast beef sandwich (no cheese) and a peach for lunch, a 1/2 cup of All Fruit applesauce... Haven't gone to the vending machine! Gotta keep going!
I really, really need to lose weight. I'm scared to, because every single time I've done this, I lose weight and then eventually gain back even more. I don't want to end up even fatter than I am now!
Wrote out invitations yesterday. Found out LAST NIGHT about three different people who are engaged or living with someone that I didn't know about, and have to re-write their invitations. Freaking strange coincidences!
If you're mature enough to get married, you should be mature enough to pay for it yourself.
The other day, as my fiance and I were folding laundry, I said something jokingly about anal sex. He replied "Well, if we're going to, it has to be tonight. I'm washing the sheets tomorrow." The look on his face as he realized what he had just said was priceless.
My sister asked if I would mind if she came to my reception "a little late." She just had to attend a banquet with her boyfriend (he was getting an award). Okay, no biggie. Then she asked if I would keep my niece overnight the night of my reception, so she could spend the night at her boyfriend's house. We were having a houseful anyway, so sure. She only showed up for the last hour of the reception, and didn't even help clean up - which she had said she would do. *sigh*
I got married six weeks ago, and I haven't changed my name yet. Not because I don't want to, but because I haven't had time to go to the social security office.
Had to leave work today to be home with a sick kid. I went to work "dressed up" for no particular reason (we are a very casual office). Kinda hope they worry that I really have a job interview somewhere else. *snicker*
It annoys me when my sister hints for me to watch my niece, then when I say "okay" it all of a sudden goes from being Friday night to the entire weekend.
When we visit one set of my daughter's grandparents, they always send all the kids to the other room to play. The adults stay in the dining room talking - the ENTIRE time. Kids are not allowed to "bother" the adults. Know what bothers us? That you have no desire to even interact with your grandchild at all!
I let my daughter (8 yrs) and her friend help me bake a pie yesterday. I think the crust came out...um...less than perfect. But they had a ton of fun! We'll serve it to our guests today with pride! If they don't like it, there's ice cream in the freezer. :)
I HAVE a pair, thank you. A pair of boobs!
Good day so far... Received my actual diploma today, and got an email from a job I applied to a couple days ago. They want to know what salary range I would consider. Hoping this means they want to interview me!
Today, while drowing in work and nearly having panic attacks, THREE coworkers stopped working to chat about yet another coworker's dog. Just one more reason I need to get out of this place.
Boss: You really need to do X.
Me: Okay. Which thing, A, B, or C, do you want me to stop doing so that I can do X?
Boss: How do you think I feel?
Me: Umm...
I wish our office had a kitchen. I have to wash my dishes in the tiny bathroom sink.
I was offered a job interview today - the first one since I started looking about 6 months ago. At first I was thrilled, but when I thought some more about what she said about the job, I know it's just not right for me. I emailed her back and canceled - no sense wasting her time and mine. Really hope that was the right call.
My husband had flowers delivered to me at work today because my diploma (BBA) arrived this morning.
I'll finally have my bachelor's degree in December. I'm trying to find a better job so that we can afford for my husband to only work part time and work on his degree. I am totally willing to support him for the next few years while he does this. He deserves it!
When you have a medical test done, if the results are normal, don't they just send you a postcard or something? My DH had a mole removed last week, lost his cell phone in the meantime, and got a letter yesterday asking him to call the dr office because they need to discuss his results with him. I'm acting like it's nothing, but I'm freaking out. His brother died of cancer earlier this year. Should know one way or the other this afternoon.
It drives me bonkers when people who *know* my husband had a vasectomy act surprised when I say that we aren't having any more children. I've heard "Why not?" and "Are you sure?" Seriously? VASECTOMY. Not changing our minds, people.
My best present this year - my husband forcing himself not to overspend!
