The tradition continues into the 4th generation! My grandma just pulled my 5 year old son's first loose baby tooth :) She pulled ours (her grandkids) and her own kids'. I don't have the nerve but there's always Dr. Momo with a steady hand and a stomach of steel! I'm so proud of them both.

Yesterday I flew into a rage & embarrassed myself. I felt really disrespected by my son's father & acted a fool in his front yard. I feel kind of bad about it. Not what I said, but that the lil ol lady next door heard everything. Including me telling him & his ex "he was all up in my p***y the other night, tell her that, b***h!" Shame!

I wish every woman could have a true (female) best friend. To identify with, cry to, encourage, uplift, and love. I am single and am not sure if I will ever find love. I hope so, but with past relationships it's hard to see myself spending my life with Mr. Right. But I can't imagine EVER not knowing and loving my best friends. Sometimes they really keep me sane and hopeful.

Mom of twin baby boys you need some help. Not mental help, actual help because handling 2 babies is hard. Do you have anyone who could help at all? Would you consider getting a young person to act as Mother's Helper? Maybe even if you don't want him/her to deal with your babies, they can do other work/errands and give you a break. I hope things get easier for you.

Watching the movie "Babies" made me realize that children are tougher than we think and that American children are coddled and overprotective. We can see by trends in our society that this is crippling. Seeing the little Naimibian and Mongolian babies basically growing up in nature and being allowed to learn and explore really opened my eyes. Now when my children whine I think, "Naimibian babies eat dirt and thrive but you don't want crust on your bread?! Get a freaking grip!"

I try to never be the friend who says "I told you so". What the hell does that accomplish besides making the person feel small? I can give advice until I'm blue in the face, you don't HAVE to take it. And I'm the type of FRIEND who even if you don't take my advice, and you get hurt, well I'd rather comfort you and work through it than make you feel bad about it. I consider it part of being a real friend. And letting an adult live their life.
