Gay marriage should be legal. All citizens of this country should have the same rights and responsibilities. I have NO problem if churches choose to not recognize a marriage that doesn't follow their rules. But that keeps the influence and control of the church where it belongs- within their own church. Yeah, they don't like that so much. Against gay marriage? Don't have one. But you don't get to impose your morals on others.

There really aren't lots of jobs in healthcare. People have lost insurance. People with insurance are afraid to take time off work. I'm a critical care RN who can work in 3 areas. I'm supposed to work 32 hours/week. I'm getting half my shifts cancelled because we have so few patients. Been going on for a year. Jobs are posted- but they aren't actually being filled. New grads can't even find jobs.

OK my "Truu is ending" summary: common courtesy goes a LONG way. Public breastfeeding shouldn't be an issue but will be as long as moms make a fuss about it. Abortions are sad and terrible things- but are sometimes the best option. Men and women are equally responsible for birth control and support/care of children. People need to be allowed to fail- we are a kind society that helps the helpless, but allow too many people to claim they are helpless. Spanking is *almost* always a sign of lazy parenting. And I would let Russell Brand do very naughty things to me. :D

Genetically, I'm almost pure Irish/Scots. I have many black haired/blue eyed relatives. I'm the only redhead in my extended family. And that's because Loreal tells me I'm worth the $10 a month to be happy with my hair. ;)

I spent my morning hanging a "No Trespasing" sign and planting a VERY prickly rose bush to try to stop teenagers from jumping my fence. I did this braless while listening to Linkin Park on my ipod. I think I like the middle aged lady I've become. :D

A friend told me today that she applied for a job that she knows I want and have applied for. A job she only knows about because I mentioned it. She needs to do what's right for her and her family- I get it. Not angry at her. I should have a better chance at it. But either way it's gonna be awkward. :(
