I can finally wear earrings again!! That makes me very happy! :)
Hoping next week or so I can be cleared to lift weights by my doc...haven't been cleared to restart that since I hurt my back...had to stop running but I hope I can start up the lifting again!
My doctor told me to consider myself diabetic for all intents and purposes. This BLOWS. But I have started making lots of lifestyle changes..here's to good health!
Week one of lifestyle changes=5 pounds gone! :)
Wii Fit=AWESOME.
I was so happy to be PCSing home...now, not so much...I love my family but I'm close enough now to be drawn into fucking family drama and I HATE that...too bad I'm here for 3 more YEARS...I wanna go back to Oregon!! lol
My husband says that when his enlistment is up in 10 months, he will proably not be re-enlisting...I am supportive but secretly scared...I mean, we've invested so much TIME in this lifestyle...Being a civilian is SCARY...but I think he's burnt out and ready for a change.
The girls who live with me both did GREAT on their report cards!! One made all As and one made A's, B's, and 1 C...they are AMAZING, especially given their backgrounds!! :)
My niece, and her BFF, who both live with me, were eating supper with my husband last night. They saw a homeless man asking for food outside...he was thin and shivering. They each gave him their bag of chips, and another customer bought him a sandwich. Working in psych and mental health, I know there are "fakes" out there but you just never know and I'm glad these children have learned kindness, especially considering what happened to them before they came to live with me. :)
My grandmother ran a daycare in her home for more than 30 years...her kids were happy, healthy, well-adjusted, and some of them stayed with her for YEARS until they were too old. She fed them healthy, homecooked meals and they ALL knew all their colors, ABCs, how to write their names, etc, when they went to school...their parents were happy knowing their kids were well cared-for. Not all daycares are bad. You just gotta do your research.
So I was doing some math and with the pay I'll be receiving from my new job, 1 paycheck will take us from barely making it to getting most of our small bills paid off and everything else caught up. I just can't believe it. To think...a month ago it was 'pay the car bill or get food?' and now I can do both. So happy and relieved!
I love my family but boy am I happy when I get a night home alone! Westerns and a chocolate milkshake do a perfect night make!
I love my job. That is all.
My dream job turned out to be a nightmare because of the schedule (I actually LOVE the job part)...so I got a new one! With a KILLER schedule!! I start June 6th!! YAY!!
Three of the places to which I applied are interviewing this week...PLEASE let me get one of these jobs!!
I have a JOB INTERVIEW!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!
I GOT A JOB TODAY! It's not the one I applied for and not the one I really wanted, and it's part time, but it's with the same agency, and it's a JOB! I'll take it! :)
We finally have a lot of good news coming our way...I paid off my car last week...we are paying off a credit card at the end of May..we learned our financial lessons the hard way and we have had to claw our way out ever since but I can finally see a light at the top of the abyss. :)
My dream job is turning out to be more of a nightmare. I love the actual job; the schedule is going to make me insane and I think I'll need to do some job-hunting again just in case. I had high hopes for this one though. :(
