Sitting here in a quiet house, the DH and kids are gone, working on my 2nd glass of wine and watching a marathon of Jersey Shore...lol! I am WAY too old for this show (almost 40) but I love to watch the hot guys and remember my hay days. :) more |

Back in January, DH and I paid off my mom's $10,000 credit card by putting it on OUR credit card. It forced us to make a budget and stick with it. 7 months later, we have paid it off completely AND have over $10,000 in our savings!! Had to post because I can't say it to anyone in real life.

He got a spank for flushing the glue stick, he flushes toys and socks and we've already replaced a toilet this year. I was livid...I found the glue stick. I felt awful. Then, I found the purse he shredded with safety scissors. This kid will be the death of me.
We listened to the Ice Cream Truck's tinkling music in the neighborhood for an hour. We peeked between houses and kept willing him to drive down our street. Finally, I made cones for them from our own stash and walked to the park. A lovely family was there and everyone played. 10 mins in the Ice Cream Truck shows up and the other family go for treats, I hold my kids back. The family bought my kids treats. It was sooo nice, we didn't even know them. I couldn't possibly refuse as it had been purchased already so, my kids got double sugar treats today...sigh. It was still really nice.
my son is a cry baby, however it is my fault...I spoil him rotten with affection. Hope it dosen't back fire on me one day.

Ah I'm a happy mom. Both my kids DD 6 and DS 4 are doing their workbooks at the table queitly. They also asked if they could read the books we got from the libray after the workbooks. Learning instead of TV works for me.
I live in Florida. DH invited his son & wife to visit for a week. Their kids are uncontrollable. I've made dangers in our home clear to the parents. They ignored my cautions. They want us to look after kids while they drink and ignore them. If harm comes to the kids, who is liable for felony child endangerment? Their parents or us because its our house? DH refuses to uninvite them.I am worried sick.
I don't care if your house is messy. I am disgusted by FILTH, which is different. I mean like bowls of crusted over spaghetti sitting on the counter that is days old. And your house is filled with flies all the time. Plus there is cat poop in the washroom that stinks and it was there yesterday too. And that rag with baby spit up on it? Don't use it to clean the counter. That's gross!!!
