Dear co-worker: Just because I’m blind does not mean I’m stupid. I’ve worked at this company in this division for 6 years. You may have worked at this company for 12 years, but you’ve only worked in this division for 6 weeks. I DON’T need you to loudly announce someone’s name (especially interrupting a conversation) when they enter the room, I do recognize voices. I DON’T need you to tell me the phone is ringing or footsteps are coming etc, I’m NOT deaf. Also you rearranging my desk or sneaking up on me and yelling “BOO!” is not funny, it’s harassment. And FYI, the management is onto you.
