My boss informed me that he'd be screwed if something ever happened to my position (new director, department being reorganized/downsize, state agency with budget crisis, blah blah blah). He asked me to make a policy manual for everything I do for him so that he'd know how to do something if I got canned. That was two weeks ago. He keeps asking me about the manual. I keep telling him I'm working on it. Truth is, I made one years ago...I'm just not telling anyone because I'm afraid once they know there's a manual they'll lay me off for sure!
