I confess that during the day Truu is one of my open windows minimized of course so I can get work done but it is right there should I feel the need to spontaneously confess something. Might I recommend this...it is a very valuable tool to stay sane. Many people pay therapists I find solace among strangers and their opinions.Sometimes sweet sometimes sour but I NEVER go unheard or feel alone. Thanks truu for being my constant in these ever-changing times.

My sister is getting a pot-bellied pig for a pet. I like pets, don't get me wrong, but a pig as an indoor pet?

We just had our parent teacher conference. We love our teacher! She tells us what is going well and what is not going so well. She does it in a way that is not accusatory, blanketing or branding. I really appreciate her input and have acted on her suggestions. We've had a teacher in the past who was beyond critical and just seemed mean. There was nothing on earth that would make me see my son through her eyes. We're so happy with Mrs. B.!

I am shocked by the lack of bedside manner of some Dr.s. We were having our son tested for ADD. It turns out his situation is mild but they feel his school work would improve if he was medicated. They put him on the lowest dose of Focalin available. Our Dr was out sick so we saw her partner. He said in front of our 9 yo that his "goal was to keep him from dropping out of school and out of jail." WTF??? He's a good kid who daydreams and has trouble focusing. Seriously? Was that necessary to say in front of him?

Sorry friend, I'm ignoring your calls. Yes, it's girls night out this weekend, but no, we'd rather not have your pretentious self there. We wanna talk freely without being judged as usual.

I think I've been rejected for therapy. I went to see the campus one at least 5 or 6 times. I've contacted him again twice to make another appointment and he still hasn't called back. I guess I was too boring for him. But I feel like I really need it.

My husband just asked me what I would like for my "last birthday in the 20's". I know it's not THAT big a deal, but 29 is hitting me hard, probably because I have a 10 yo, but I am a little freaked. Where did the time go?

Although I push, I secretly wish that my chubby 9 mo old son would never crawl/walk...Then there would be no skinned knees, no questionable prom date, no college goodbyes...just don't grow up!

My great grandmother was a seamstress and she taught my grandmother to sew and make clothes. My mother learned from my grandmother and I learned from my mom.I've been teaching my daughter since she was old enough to thread a needle.I made my prom dress,my wedding dress and make a lot of clothes for my kids.I won't teach my son though. He will learn to sew on a button and mend somethings but this to me is a mother-daughter tradition very special for us.I teach him to clean, cook and do all chores like his sister. This hobby is between me,my little woman and all the women in my family before us.
