I'm 22 and addicted to reading the mom confession. *sigh* i'm having such baby fever. We're not planning on having kids for at least the next 5 years (wanting to finish grad school and get started in careers), but damn, my baby fever has been kicking in lately for some reason. I'm a good girl and I'll wait, but I'm so looking forward to being a mom

Oh dear children of mine, please just play outside while it's nice. When it's rainy (which is a lot) they are begging to be out. So why now that it is nice do they keep coming in and out slamming the door everytime when the littles are sleeping!

I am setitng myself in motion this week: I have two major goals I want accomplished within the next ten years and if I don't so it now I'll never do it. My mom and I started training this week to hike the Appalachian Trail! That's goal 1. Goal 2 is to get my GED and go back to school! I started studying for my GED this week and plan on taking it Oct. 9th. Wish me luck!

I have a little boy. He's the coolest thing EVER. BUT..I hestitate when I see cute scrap books and memory books. A friend even gave me a memory BOX for my baby shower in which to put little post-its (as he says/does cute things, write them down and toss them in the box). I just wonder if he'll give a crap about all this stuff when he's grown up? If I'd had a girl, I'd be inclined to do more, but it just seems like such sentimental things would be wasted on a boy! Anyone out there with grown DS's who enjoy looking at scrapbooks/memory books of themselves as babies?

5 y/o DS and I were talking about the Air Force today (he asked and I explained what it was) and he said he was going to learn to fly. Then he said "And I'm going to learn how to gravitate. I try, and I get up on my tippy-toes, and almost off the ground but it doesn't work". I almost told gravitation is only on TV and he won't ever be able to (theoretically). I caught myself. Why squash his little scientific dreams? He'll figure out limitations soon enough :(

6 y.o. DD is exhausting me. It used to be she could play on her own for 30 min at a time. Ever since she started Kinder (half day) she's been attached to me like velcro. I love her dearly but the 7 hours she is awake before bedtime is just killing me. I try to set her in front of a video with a snack but she will only last 5 min. I also try to get her involved in her toys and then try to read a magazine but then she's begging me to play with her. I hope its a phase. I am completely exhausted. Oh, and we don't do playdates yet-she is autistic, we tried and it hasn't worked out.

He's thinking of getting a motorcycle. He's late getting home. So help me, if he drives up on a bike, I'm going to walk outside and punch him square in his package.

thanks to the moms who are rich now and appreciate it...for those who go on and on about how money isn't important and doesn't make them happy, try having to struggle to pay for the basics, never go on a vacation, be unable to go out to eat, struggle to pay bills, then go back to your former life and see how nice it is to have a pool in your backyard, kids at summer camp, your vacations and your nanny and then please, never ever ever say that money really doesn't make your life better.

It's almost back to school time...are you ready?
Yes! I can't wait for summer to end and school to begin!
Not yet -- in denial that the lazy days of summer are over.
No way! I could spend 9 more months with my kids at home!
