I have never expected my husband to do something for me for Mother's Day. Husbands and wives get all sorts of other holidays (V-Day, anniversaries, etc). Mother's Day is for moms and their kids. It isn't my husband's job to get me a card. Still, the flowers and card he did get for me were so very sweet!
