We purposely got Macs for all of the kids so they'd be less likely to load them up with video games and unwanted porno viruses. There are still a few things we find when we go through them, but nowhere's near enough if we just gave them each a PC and let them have their way. Office and Adobe Suite are out for Mac and that's all they need. Firefox is free, too. They've had them since 2002 (older three) and 2005 (younger two) and still going strong. Best money spent on technology.
