My husband has been deployed for 4 months and I'm almost 6 months pregnant. I went back home last week because my family wanted to throw me a baby shower. At the shower a old acquaintance (after a couple drinks) said "God you're so lucky that Jacob (my DH)isn't here all the time. You get your own space & arent stuck w/him all the time". I was so shocked at her words that I burst into tears and then got angry and said "I'd love to be "stuck" with my DH all the time and to know that he is safe and sound. And I'd kill to know if he is going to be here for our 1st child's birth"
