I wish my parents respected me and took me seriously as an adult. I'm a damn good wife and mother with a home of my own, and when they visit they still treat me like I'm a child in their house. So rude. My dad is constantly second-guessing me. My mom is always trying to override my parenting. When I confront them about it, they tell me to lighten up. The funny thing is, they want to be involved in our lives, but they don't want to be respectful of our boundaries.
