I have some questions, I'm getting married this year and I have no one close enough to be bridesmaids other than my sister who's on the other side of the country and not really happy to help at all, so my first is has anyone gone dress shopping alone? My second is who is supposed to throw a bridal shower? Me or someone else?

shareSometimes I can't help but feel a little smug when I see everyone I know bitching about their spouses and their relationships and fighting and breaking up. Then I feel guilty. I really am lucky to have someone so wonderful.
Evil sil, your wedding was green. Not even a nice shade of green at that. Your Bridesmaids looked as though they were vomited on. That big ugly ass ice sculpture of your poodle was the tackiest, ugliest thing I've ever seen. Wtf were you thinking?!
My FH & I met in a crash, literally. He was riding in s car with a friend who rear ended me at a stop light which made me rear end the car in front of me. My Fh is a doctor so he ran over to check on since my car damaged pretty bad. I started panicking at the sight of the cut on my head & the pain from my broken arm & he calmed me down then tried to stop the bleeding. He stayed with me till the EMT got there then rode to the hospital (where he happens to work). I was in the hospital for 2 days he checked up on me every couple hours & we just clicked. How'd you guys meet your FH's?
Someone asked me the other day if I want to marry my bf sometime in the near future. Without a blink, I wrote back that if he asked me when we first hung out I would of agreed. I never thought about that before and saying it made me realize he's the one for sure!

I got engaged this past Saturday, while on vacation in Italy. My (now!) FH & I have only told our parents & siblings so far & wanted to tell our friends in person. For the past 2 years we've thrown a superbowl party for each of our 4 closest friends & are planning on telling everyone as soon as they are all there. Since we already agreed to 4 BM & 4GM's, we're going to ask them right then too. I'm so exited!!!
