I'm 22 and addicted to reading the mom confession. *sigh* i'm having such baby fever. We're not planning on having kids for at least the next 5 years (wanting to finish grad school and get started in careers), but damn, my baby fever has been kicking in lately for some reason. I'm a good girl and I'll wait, but I'm so looking forward to being a mom

DH ordered matching Mommy and Daddy yellow smiley face "Happy Camper" t-shirts for us, and a matching onesie for DD. We're going to be the coolest family at the State Park in October!

I am constantly amazed that I can go along for days, weeks, months and then BAM - the thought that I absolutely utterly and completely HATE babies smacks me in the face again. Ugh. NEVER will got through that again.

For a long time, I thought when people said DS2 or DD3, they meant their second or third child. So when I saw DS6 and DD13, I was like OMGWTF???

My DH asked us why none of us were drinking the prune juice that I bought for my constipated toddler. Kids said they didn't like it, so to prove to them it was good he chugged a huge glass of it. FF a few hours later and he is curled up in a ball with horrible gas pains. You should have seen the way he was carrying on. I asked him if he needed to do some lamaze breathing until he gave birth to his prune juice baby. This was a great way to prove to the kids the juice is yummy.

The lady I babysit for just gave birth in the bathroom. While I was at the park. Thankfully, her DH was on hand to deliver! She went from spaced contractions to giving birth within 1.5hrs. Now, I'm washing the towels...but I don't mind, just glad they are fine! :)

Some advice for young parents: If you start out conservative and fairly strict, eventually your kids will wear you down to a moderate level. If you start out moderate, you will be worn down to liberal. (So when they are 16 and ask for a flamethrower for their birthday, you may actually PAUSE for a minute before saying no. LOL!) But, if you START liberal and let them do whatever they want when they are toddlers, you will have no where left to go. It's hard to start that way and get a backbone later. Set the rules and consequences early, learn to say no! It will be easier for them and you.

It's almost back to school time...are you ready?
Yes! I can't wait for summer to end and school to begin!
Not yet -- in denial that the lazy days of summer are over.
No way! I could spend 9 more months with my kids at home!
