The kids are out of school and it's time for summer vacations!  The only problem is that most of us are still hurting from the down economy.  Here are some cheap vacation ideas to help you get away:

Camping: Most of us having camping options reasonably close to help save on gas.  As long as you already have camping gear, camping is a cheap alternative and the kids will love getting in touch with their wild side.
Stay-cation: Turn your spare room or back yard into a fort and pretend to get away, or try leaving the kids with a friend and get a hotel room for a romantic night “away”.
Visit friends: Do you have a friend that’s moved away that you’ve been meaning to visit?  As long as they have a spare room, you can save on hotel costs.
Road Trip!  Pack up the kids and hit the road!  Head to a national forest or just pick a direction, drive, and see what kind of adventures you find along the way.

We want to know if you're taking a vacation this summer and what you’re doing to be creative to keep the costs down.

No sentence is ever so loaded as when we're at war. How did you react?

My son discovered this hysterical, but slightly naughty youtube video called CLEAN YOUR BALLS. Is sexual innuendo ok for a 10 yr. old? Our experts weigh in...

You don't have to be lost in the diapers, drooling and car pool. You can be you, AND be a better mom for it. Alice Currah of SavorySweetLife and EverydayAlice tells you how she did it.

It's almost back to school time...are you ready?
Yes! I can't wait for summer to end and school to begin!
Not yet -- in denial that the lazy days of summer are over.
No way! I could spend 9 more months with my kids at home!
