In an exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer, pop super star Rihanna speaks out about the night she was beaten by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown.  In an emotional interview, Rihanna says that "it can happen to anybody," but that having the world know your secret is humiliating. "I didn't want people to think that that's the kind of person I fell in love with-- that's embarrassing. That's embarrassing that that's the type of person that I fell in love with. So far in love with. So unconditional that I went back."

Now Rihanna says it was "wrong" that she went back to Brown. She believes it sends the wrong message to young women. She tels Sawyer that when she realized her selfish decision of love could result in some young girl getting killed, she felt like she couldn't be held responsible -- "Even if Chris never hit me again."

"It was a wake-up call. It was a wake-up call for me. Big time," Rihanna told "Good Morning America" co-anchor Diane Sawyer in her first television interview discussing the assault. "I will say that to any young girl who is going through domestic violence, don't react off of love. F love. Come out of the situation and look at it in the third person and for what it really is."

Do you think Rihanna made the right decision to speak out about her experience? Do you agree that love isn't enough to change a pattern of domestic violence?

We want to hear from you!

You don't have to be lost in the diapers, drooling and car pool. You can be you, AND be a better mom for it. Alice Currah of SavorySweetLife and EverydayAlice tells you how she did it.
