Q: This is a free site. We don't pay to access it, we don't have to provide any personal information to use it. We can come here and say almost anything, and even if it is not posted the typing is theraputic most the time. The people behind this site supply a free service that they have to take time out of their lives to uphold, and most of the thanks they get is bitching about updates or trolls or missing posts. I used to think I wanted to be one of the MODS, but have come to realise their job must suck, because the consumers don't show any compassion. Happy New Year MODS!

Q:Okay MODS. I realize that Though you try, response questions do get through just because you don't realize it's a response. But when a confession starts with "To the wife who posted about" (110530 in the wife board), HOW does that get through? I think it's things like that that frustrate the confessors.
A: Thank you for pointing that out. I can imagine how frustrating it is when confessors see something so blatantly against the rules. I’m not actually sure what happened. I most likely overlooked it. I’m very sorry to the confessor that the post was aimed at. It was a complete accident. I really shouldn’t work on New Years Day, lol. WAY too much going on in my house.

Q:Mods: Can we please stop the checking/savings account confessions? I feel like I'm just reading bank statements.
A: If it’s still going on Monday it will be a toss up between it and the engagement rings. Or maybe I can do a combo blog :D
Q:Mods, I wonder if I'm the only one who doesn't care what anyone else has in their bank accounts. That doesn't get through. I'm guessing that counts as a response? Whatever. But then you can let through a post that goes beyond blatant response post, to actually COPY/PASTE the original confession and add their response. Way to be on the ball. *eyeroll*
A: For the record, yes that counts as a response. I’m not sure which confession you’re referring to. I looked at all the confessions that got through on the first, and all I’ve seen are several where the OP copies their OWN confession to add to it.

Q:I can not for the life of me figure out why the child free posts are getting through. This is a mom board. Why allow all the drama? Or go to the wife board. I know this won't go through but that's ok I want the mods to know how disgusted I am. I won't be coming here much anymore. I don't need mod sanctioned drama.
A: I put a stop to the CF/Mom debate. It was getting out of hand. I try not to allow any post through that discriminates against any group of people, including CF and Mom. CF people ARE allowed to post on this site. They do HAVE mothers you know.

Q:MODS: in "askthemod" why do you bother to put an entire question or comment out there when the majority of it is "DELETED" I would like to know what the people are talking about, otherwise what is the point of putting it out there if it doesn't really tell us anything?
A: 1. The person who posted the question knows what they put, so to them the question is answered. 2. If the person is asking about a live confession (one that is still on the board) I’m not going to publish details to protect that confessor. If the confession has been removed I’ll publish the details but not the confessors name.
Q:I stopped coming for a bit because of the lame response posts (CF vs childless specifically). What do I see in the first few confessions? ANOTHER one. This is ridiculous. Response posts should not be published! Come on, mods! Move it to the blog already!!
A: I did... days before you posted this. Is it possible your browser went to an old page?
Q:MODS: I have enjoyed coming here for years- yes years. Only now am I coming to realize that many on the Mom board are actually CF. Many do not state that every time the post or respond but it comes to light over time and then I remember who is who. Lately, as I'm sure you are aware, there becomes an us vs them mentality. Because of this I have found confessing and receiving responses from people who likely have no vested interest or life experience in the matter of family life and child-rearing to lack any kind of credulity.
I don't wish to continue reading this sight if the focus is going to be blurred as it has been. If comments are going to be allowed, as they have been for a long while, then perhaps this would be better served set up as a message board with vetted members. Or go back to only anonymous posts with no comments. I don't presume to know what your future outlook is for this site but I know I'm getting tired of people having to defend their opinions and lifestyles more and more often.
A: The child free debate has been moved to the blog. As for the message boards versus the comments issue, I’m not really sure what you mean by vetted members? To comment on your confession you need to have A: Left comments open, and the people need to B: Have accounts and screen names. Is there another process you’d like to have added to obtaining a screen name?

Q:Mods: the postings against the obese, overweight, fat...etc. have gotten out of hand. 658096 is quite ugly, talkiing about how the obese are doing and smokers save us all money becuase they die younger. It's ridiculus.
