In March of 2007, my then 6-yr-old son Owen staggered out of his bedroom and projectile vomited all over himself, my nightgown and my notoriously difficult to clean sea grass carpet. I sponged off my son and took a quick shower before heading bleary-eyed back to bed. But there was no chance in hell that I was cleaning up a hot, gloopy mess at 3am. Instead, I left it on the carpet hoping the dog would eat it. That's right. I left it there in all it's smelly, steamy glory. The next day, I confessed my dirty domestic secret to a girlfriend. She both winced in disgust and applauded me for my ingenuity. What I learned over our quick exchange was that for me, the mere act of confessing to a less-than-perfect motherly moment provided much needed relief. And for my girlfriend, it provided an opening to tell her own tales from the trenches.
Two months later I started TrueMomConfessions.com, the site that inspired what is now truuconfessions. I wanted there to be a place where women could confess their fears, frailties and fantasies (or their own barf stories) without any risk of judgment or consequence. By popular demand, later that year the sites grew beyond moms to include other categories. Eventually it made sense for us to expand our vision to provide the growing community with better tools and ways to connect, so in March of 2009 we got a makeover and relaunched the network as truuconfessions, the one-stop-shop for all your confessional needs.
Our mission is to be your anonymous best friend on those days when you're going to crack, when you need a laugh, when you're bursting at the seams with a juicy secret, or when the thing you need to say is unspeakable to even your nearest and dearest. We understand how busy you are and how stressful life is these days, and we know that sometimes you just need an outlet. We'll be right here with bite-sized hugs and absolution, posting our own grievances and giggles alongside yours.
So, welcome. Go ahead and confess yourself. We won't tell!

Meghan Udell is the brilliant designer behind truuconfessions. She is also one of the creators of Shoestring Magazine.
Meghan Udell grew up on the mean streets of Chicago, but yearned for the often eccentric, eclectic, and starving art world. Her consummate resourcefulness and creativity has served her well in the oddest of jobs: sharecropper; cultish coffee shop barista; gravedigger; christmas tree seller, and image retoucher for L.A.'s adult film industry. Meghan's DIY attitude and adept craftiness have helped her create kick-ass advertising campaigns for some of America's biggest brands, as well as the lust-worthy hipster loft she shares with her husband and their two adorably misbehaved Pointer mixes. When not surfing, rock climbing, volunteering at charities, color-coding her friends' closets, or sharing her sarcastic wit, Meghan is the creative mastermind behind the burgeoning Bargainista Media publishing empire.

Jennifer Brandt Herschko, lives in Los Angeles and is mom to a 2 year old boy. After attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Jenny said goodbye to her "acting" days and found herself behind the scenes writing and producing for television and film. Jenny has been featured and written for several parenting sites as well as her own "mommy" blog, Perfectly Disheveled.

Amber Bracegirdle is our Community director, oversees our fantasitc team of moderators and runs the truuSTORE. She and her husband live and work in New Jersey. Work has taken her all over the world, but she grew up in Texas, and still considers it home. A very geeky girl, she spends her very limited spare time with video games, HTML, and Photoshop. She is also completing a degree in Early Childhood Education, and has devoted much of her life to working with children. One of her favorite hobbies is spoiling her niece, Ava, and nephew David, absolutely rotten, and then giving them back to her sister. Her second favorite hobby is cooking, which she chronicles on her blog, www.bluebonnetsandbrownies.com.
